Description
Introducing the CA5001 Cara Under Sink Reverse Osmosis System
The CA5001 represents the next generation of under-sink water filtration — combining advanced reverse osmosis performance with a slim, space-saving design. Engineered with Direct Flow technology, this tankless system provides continuous access to purified water without the delays or bulk of traditional storage-tank systems.
Designed for everyday convenience and long-term efficiency, the CA5001 delivers consistently clean, great-tasting water through a premium stainless steel tap, while intelligent monitoring keeps you informed and in control.
Smart, Efficient Filtration — Designed for Modern Living
At the heart of the CA5001 is a high-recovery encapsulated RO membrane that removes salts, dissolved minerals, unpleasant tastes, odours, and a wide range of unwanted contaminants. Unlike older RO systems that waste large volumes of water, the CA5001 achieves an impressive 1:1 purified-to-waste water ratio, helping conserve water without compromising performance.
A Smart LCD display provides real-time feedback on:
filter life
system operation
Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) levels
So you always know exactly what’s happening with your water.

Compact, Tankless & Space-Saving
With its slim ABS housing and quick-change filter design, the CA5001 fits neatly under most kitchen sinks. The absence of a storage tank frees up valuable cupboard space while delivering purified water instantly, whenever you need it.
An Auto Leak Stop Valve adds peace of mind by automatically shutting off the water supply in the event of a leak, simplifying maintenance and reducing flood risk.

Premium Stainless Steel Tap
The CA5001 includes a commercial-grade stainless steel tap, free from toxic materials and designed for durability. Featuring a smooth quarter-turn operation and 360° swivel, it provides effortless control and a clean, modern finish to your kitchen setup. All required mounting hardware is included.

WaterMark Certified for Plumbing Confidence
CARA under-sink water filtration systems are designed for professional installation and include certified components to support safe, compliant plumbing connection in Australian homes.
Where applicable, products and components carry WaterMark certification, confirming they have been independently assessed for plumbing safety, material quality, and fit-for-purpose performance under recognised Australian requirements.
For best results and compliance, we recommend installation by a licensed plumber.
What does it remove?
It removes up to 99.9% of contaminants.
Here are the independent lab-tested results for each contaminant:
- Bacteria & Viruses: 99.30%
- Lead: 100.00%
- Chlorine: 99.67%
- Fluoride: 91.50%
- Microplastics: 100.00%
- Nitrates: 98.82%
Results based on actual third-party water quality testing. Individual results may vary depending on water source and filter maintenance.

Multi-Stage Filtration System
The CA5001 uses a carefully designed three-stage filtration process:
Stage 1 – PP + Carbon Pre-Filter
Reduces sediment, rust, sand, chlorine, and odours while protecting the RO membrane.
Stage 2 – Reverse Osmosis Membrane (0.0001 micron)
Removes bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, antibiotics, pesticides, and other dissolved contaminants.
Stage 3 – T33 Coconut Carbon Cartridge
Enhances taste and removes residual odours for clean, pleasant-tasting water.

Versatile Water Source Compatibility
The CA5001 is suitable for:
chlorinated municipal water
non-chlorinated potable water
bore and well water (subject to analysis)
High-flow 3/8” tubing from system to tap ensures a strong, steady water output of up to 1.3 litres per minute.

💧 CA5001 Under Sink RO System – FAQs
Does the CA5001 remove PFAS, microplastics and other contaminants?
Yes. Reverse osmosis uses an ultra-fine membrane (0.0001 micron) that significantly reduces PFAS, microplastics, heavy metals, bacteria, and many other unwanted substances. The system also includes carbon filtration to further improve water quality and taste.
What makes this system different from traditional RO systems?
The CA5001 uses Direct Flow technology, so there’s no bulky storage tank. You get fresh, purified water on demand, a more compact under-sink setup, and a water-saving 1:1 filtration ratio — far more efficient than older systems.
How often do the filters need replacing?
Filter life depends on water quality and usage, but as a guide:
Pre-filter: every 6–12 months
RO membrane: every 24–36 months
Carbon filter: every 12 months
The Smart LCD display will let you know when it’s time.
Is the system hard to install?
Not at all. The CA5001 is designed for straightforward installation and includes mounting hardware and instructions. If you prefer, a professional installer can also assist.
What does the Auto Leak Stop Valve do?
It automatically shuts off the water supply if a leak is detected, helping reduce the risk of flooding and making maintenance worry-free.
How fast is the water flow?
The CA5001 delivers up to 1.3 litres per minute, giving you a steady supply of purified water when you need it.
Can it be used with bore or non-chlorinated water?
Yes. The system works with both chlorinated and non-chlorinated potable water, including bore water, as long as the water quality is within acceptable parameters.
How does the system improve taste and odour?
The pre-filters reduce chlorine and particles, while the final coconut carbon filter polishes the water for a clean, fresh taste.
What information does the Smart LCD display show?
It shows filter life, system status, and real-time TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) levels, so you always know the condition of your water.
Will it fit under my sink?
The slim, tankless design (443 × 132 × 356mm) fits comfortably under most standard kitchen sinks and frees up space compared to traditional RO systems.
What’s the difference between ‘Drink’ and ‘Purify’ on the tap?
Drink: Water passes through all filtration stages for drinking.
Purify: Water passes through the first stage only — ideal for washing fruit and vegetables.
